Education
From the age of 5, Holly was involved in weekly lessons, always aspiring to be a professional pianist and piano teacher. In High School she competed Nationally and eventually received a music scholarship to study Piano Pedagogy (the art of teaching piano) at Utah State University. During her time studying there, she also taught in their Youth Conservatory Program, teaching multiple methods to individuals and groups. Holly specializes in teaching children and enjoys connecting with young musicians in the beginning stages of learning how to play the piano.
Teaching Philosophy
As a classically trained pianist, Holly teaches with a traditional methodology. Her approach is first to encourage and inspire the love of music. Holly introduces note reading and music theory, ear training, and supplemental music for those with special interests in genres other than classical music.
